Galahad

Formed in 1985, Galahad are stalwarts of the UK and international ‘Prog’ scene. Over the years they have played hundreds of shows all over the UK, Europe and America releasing twelve studio albums, several rarity albums and numerous live albums/DVD’s/EPs

In 1991 the band won the BBC Radio One Rock War competition on Tommy Vance’s legendary ‘Friday Rock Show’ with the highest number of votes ever by any band.

In 2007 the band’s album ‘Empires Never Last’ was voted album of the year by the members of the ‘Classic Rock Society’.

The band have never been ones to rest on their laurels and have been constantly evolving over the years, always looking forwards but still maintaining nods to their ‘Progressive’ past.

In October 2023 they released their twelfth studio album ’The Long Goodbye’ which, amongst other things, tackled the deeply emotive subject of dementia to considerable critical acclaim.

Special Guest

Colin Masson

Many of you will remember colin as the guitarist with highly regarded progressive folk-rockers The Morrigan.

These days he is a digital artist and releases his own solo albums.

For this event he will be playing music from his solo releases enhanced by his digital animations.

This will be the first time he has shared a stage with Galahad since 1994 when The Morrigan and Galahad  both played at King Arthur's Court  in Wimborne, a fundraiser for the Tivoli theatre
